Merle Mees joined the Pleasant Valley staff is 2007. As Lead Pastor, he casts vision and gives direction to the staff and church. He is the lead teaching pastor and oversees the church’s multi-site strategy.

He is passionate about seeing lives changed by the gospel. He is committed to leading our church in unleashing the transforming influence of Jesus in the Northland and beyond. His personal mission is to live life in such a way as to cause others to applaud Jesus.

Prior to coming to PV, Merle served in two other churches. He was Director of Ministries and Teaching Pastor at Westside Family Church in Lenexa, Kansas, 2004-2007 and the Lead Pastor of Western Hills Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas, 1990-2004.

Merle and his wife, Karen, have been serving churches since they were newlyweds. They share the value of family and treasure their two grown sons, Nathan and Paul, and daughter-in-law, Kerry.

Bryan Clark – Speaker at the 2010 Avant Europe Conference

Bryan Clark has been Senior Pastor of Lincoln Berean Church, Lincoln, Nebraska since 1995, having served previously as Senior Pastor and Youth Pastor at Broken Bow Berean in Nebraska. Pastor Clark graduated from Moody Bible Institute, received his Master's Degree in Christian Education from Talbot Theological Seminary in California and his MDiv equivalency and Doctorate of Ministry degree from Denver Seminary.

The son of Eugene and Ferne Clark, Bryan grew up in Lincoln. His father was well-known as head of the music department at Back to the Bible Broadcast, and the author of hundreds of songs. Bryan and his wife, Patti, are the parents of three daughters: Ashley, Bobbi and Jayme.
