Missionary work among the large tribe of Indians in South America, called the Quichuas in Ecuador, was slow and difficult, requiring diligence, perserverance, love, faith, and much prayer. At times the prospects looked bleak to the natural mind, but in reality, as one seasoned missionary put it, "the prospects are as bright as the promises of God."
